Wedding Day Blues - My dress has a stain…

Published by th88 at 3:23 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

It’s finally the big day and you’re no longer the blushing bride-to-be, because you are officially now the blushing bride.  It has taken you many months to plan this day, and you can only dream that it be just perfect.  Now that you’re standing in front of the full length mirror, gracefully spinning in a complete circle, showing off your beautiful white gown, a cry exits your mouth out of shock.  There’s an ugly blemish of a stain on your wedding dress!!!!

Now what do you do?  You have no time to take the gown to a professional cleaner, and you’ll be walking down the isle any minute.

Here are quick solutions to help make your stain less noticeable:

Blood  - Whether it’s a paper cut or full out scratch, we all bleed.  If you happen to get blood on your wedding gown, simply wet a cloth with cold water and dab lightly.  Do not rub!  This will only make it worse.

Ink - Ready your hairspray, you’re gonna need it!  Place a cloth behind the stained portion of your gown and lightly spray with hairspray.  Let it sit for about 5 to 10 minutes and remove with a damp-warm cloth.  Make sure to pat and not rub.

Lipstick - The best solution for lipstick is to attempt a tide-to-go stick.  Follow the directions provided on the stick and make sure it won’t damage your gown in anyway.

It is best to keep a Tide-to-go stick with you on your wedding day, just in case.  Good luck!
